    The New Build Project!
After 10 years of hard work fundraising we have finally raised enough funds to start work on a new, much needed purpose built Pre-school for the Community of Odiham.

We have been operating out of a building kindly provided by Odiham Parish Council since 1999. However, a new building is desperately needed to improve the environment and condition for the children; to become compliant with disability legislations and to prevent the escalating maintenance costs of an old prefabricated building.

We are extremely grateful for everyone's support so far to enable us to move the Project forward. To name but a few: The Staff, Committee, Parents and Children of the Pre-school; The Community & local Businesses in Odiham, Hook and the surrounding area; Hampshire County Council; Cllr Sharyn Wheale; Cllr Jonathan Glen; Cllr David Kirk; Cllr Ken Crookes; Rt. Hon James Arbuthnot MP; Odiham Parish Council; Odiham Town Management; Southern Co-Operatives Ltd and Buryfields Infant School.

    Funds still needed
    ...
Although we have now secured funds required for the building work we are still fundraising for essential safe furniture, toys and equipment for the Children to cherish in their new learning environment.

  • Fundraising schemes
We operate a number of fundraising schemes throughout the year to give us on-going income. Currently we are operating the following schemes.

  • What can you do to help?
    Volunteer or take part
We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our events and help us fundraise.  If you can't help out on the stalls or at events then please come along and bring your friends or take part in some of our fundraising schemes.

Of Course...All Donations, (cheques payable to Odiham Pre-school  -LeapFrogs), will be gratefully received at:

New Build Appeal, Odiham Pre-School (LeapFrogs), Recreation Road, Odiham, RG29 1NU

Why do we hold
fundraising events?

LeapFrogs is a registered charity, which means that we try to keep our fees to an absolute minimum. As a result, we need to raise additional funds for specific equipment and we do this by fund-raising events and schemes throughout the year.

Thank you

Hampshire County Council
Odiham Community Pre-school, LeapFrogs would like to thank the Executive Member of Children's Services and the Capital Projects team at Hampshire County Council's Early Education & Childcare Unit for approving a major award for capital works and equipment towards our New Build Project.

This was as a result of the Pre-school's application for a Grant under the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) Capital Funding Programme for Private Voluntary & Independent (PVI) Settings.

The Project!
To safely demolish the existing
Pre-school and build a new, sustainable Pre-school for the Community of Odiham.

For the duration of the Project the Pre-school will be relocating to an alternative location in Odiham.

The Pre-school have nominated a Contractor to provide a full Turn Key, Design and Build package for the building.

The Building is being designed to the specific requirements of the
Pre-school with a secure garden area.

The building work is scheduled to commence in Spring 2010 with completion planned by end 2010.
